Okay, the very first thing you need to do is get everyone on your team on the same page. Schedule a team meeting. Plan and discuss goals and strategies. Communicate policies that are a must and that you think will help you manage the busy workload. Share any reservations that you may have. Address any questions that your staff may have.
Check on the availability
It’s the start of a new semester. Most likely, your student workers may not be available to assist you with your mailroom operation. Check on the availability of the staff and strategize accordingly. If your students have classes till 3 pm every day, make shift adjustments to ensure you’re not short on hands.
